2008 Chardonnay Leyda Valley

The Leyda Valley is known to produce some of the best Chardonnay of any New World region.  This 2008 Amura dazzles, starting with a classic straw gold color and striking clarity, releasing a nose full of ripe peaches laced with white spring flowers and the slightest hint of dusty wet stone.  The palate is juicy with Granny Smith apple and a hint of almond butter framing juicy pear and citrus notes.  The vibrant finish is pure with bright acidity highlighting lemon-lime that is balanced with the perfect lingering minerality.  Full of fabulous character and food pairing possibilities galore, this Chardonnay is a great go-to classic.
