2003 Cuvée du Manoir, Côtes de Castillon

This Cuvée du Manoir from the Côtes de Castillon truly expresses the terroir of Bordeaux.  It was created by two of the most sought after winemakers in the world, Stéphane Derenoncourt and Francois Thienpoint. This masterpiece is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, grown on small parcels of limestone with southern exposure. The nose is full of Cabernet Franc with bell pepper, lavender and fresh plum. The rich black fruit saturates the palate balancing the tannins to a lovely finish.
