2001 Prince Michel de Bourbon, Lussac-Saint-Émilion

The Bourbon family is one of the wealthiest in France and has beautiful holdings, particularly in Bordeaux. The blend is Merlot, Cabernet, and Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak and each bottle individually numbered. This is wonderful, rich and approachable-excellent on the mid-palate with lush texture. Overall this is medium body, but it has such nice full fruit flavors with just the right amount of tannins.
