2005 Don Zofanor Cabernet Blend Libertad Vineyards, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza

From our favorite Argentine producer comes this spectacular Bordeaux-inspired blend. Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, the wine is lovingly sourced from the Libertad Vineyard and its 80 year old vines. The nose showcases intoxicating Medoc-like qualities of graphite, mushroom and burning embers together with a touch of sweet currant bud. The velvety palate is loaded with rich black fruits, licorice and roasted coffee nuances, while the finish distinguishes itself with sleek, elegant tannin and delicate hints of pepper, truffle and earth.
