2001 Jean Gagnerot Bourgogne, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

This appellation is within the Northern Côte d'Or, and is loved for its bright, elegant Pinot Noir. The 2001 vintage was a winemaker's vintage, truly highlighting skill and expertise. There was a lower ratio of juice to pulp than the 2000 vintage, therefore the intensity of fruit was high and ultimately the expression of terroir was emphasized as a result.
