CABERNET SAUVIGNON (California, 2006) The first thing you notice is the alluring color. A true red with suggestions of blue deep in the center. The nose is amazingly complex with green peppers aromas vying for your attention along side the sweet cherry fruit. Just when you think you have the wine pegged, a suggestion of black pepper makes it's way onto your palate. Finishing with a long lingering suggestion of spring herbs, this Cab is just waiting to be paired with roast lamb or your favorite steak. MERLOT (California, 2006) This Merlot is a deep magenta with wonderful aromas of sweet cherries and plum. The rich body is filled with flavors of black berries and plum and finishes with notes of chocolate and vanilla. SPATLESE (BLUE BOTTLE) (Germany, 2007) A perennial favorite! If you are looking for a sweeter style wine, or just can’t resist the exquisite blue bottle, this is the wine for you. While this Meddersheimer Edelberg Bacchus Spatlese from the Nahe region of Germany may be hard to pronounce, the heady aromas are unforgettable. A perfume of lychee nuts and luscious orange blossoms are well balanced by the clean crisp flavors. The wine has just enough sweetness to highlight the honeyed lemon peel flavors. Perfect with a Christmas dinner, this wine will also delight lovers of spicy foods.
CHARDONNAY (California, 2006) The golden color is your first hint of the quality of this outstanding Chardonnay, and it doesn’t end there. A cornucopia of tropical fruits delight your nose, while the pineapple and lemon grass flavors follow into the mouth. Perfectly balanced, with hints of butter and vanilla right along side complex woody spices, like cloves. A long resplendent finish with rich hazelnut flavors makes this wine the ideal companion to your favorite seafood and chicken dishes.
SPARKLING WINE (Burgundy, France, ) Everyone knows that the best sparklers come from France, and the Burgundy region is one of the longest established regions for these delightful wines. Made in the traditional Champagne method, this wine has all the toasty goodness you expect. The tiny bubbles propel the clean crisp citrus flavors while delivering the ideal mouthfeel. The nutty finish brings you back for another sip, time and time again. Perfect for parties, this wine is also a delightful accompaniment to cream soups, or your favorite caviar. *Available in the standard bottle (750ml) or Magnums (1.5L)
